The pictures in my portfolio are representative of my photographic work over the last few years. I work mainly in monochrome.
The advent of digital photography has enabled me to explore the more creative aspects of photography using techniques not previously available using silver based film and papers.
The inspiration for her paintings comes from her Scottish roots and her fascination with the mark nature and man have sculptured into the landscapes and seashores at home and abroad.Her emerging style tends towards heavily textured Acrylics, using a limited palette with semi-abstract shapes and vibrant colour, trying to balance the emotional and thoughtful response to what she sees and feels.
One aspect of photography I enjoy is landscape which I can combine with my love of walking.
I hope you enjoy looking at my photographs as much as I have enjoyed making them.
Heather grew up and studied on the west coast of Scotland. She is a contemporary Mixed Media artist working mainly with Acrylics and has a studio in Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire
